It’s been awhile I know, but I was without the internet. Our
apartment Wi-Fi was knocked out and the landlord took forever to get someone to
come out and repair it. I was starting to think I was going to have to buy my
own internet service. But just in time, the repair guy came and saved the day
for all of us residents. So happy belated Valentine day, and President day.
While the internet was down I have started working on
putting together little travel craft kits. I have taken several of my reusable
shopping totes and filled them with different crafts I can do on the go. I have
a crochet bag, with different sizes of yarn balls, scissors, and hooks. Then I
have my sock loom bag, which also contain several yarn balls, stitch markers,
small scissors, 2picks, and safety-pin. A bead bag for jewelry making. I have
my 3-in-1 pliers, a roll of wire, earring hooks, eye-pins and working cloth
surface. My last bag I just finished this evening is ATC: artist trading cards.
Inside the bag are 32 blank recycled cards, two old magazines, glue stick,
scissors, markers, color pencils, and a list of themes. When I go on my long
rides on the weekend and stop for a break I can do some light crafting
outdoors. Ignoring the old saying, you don’t take a book to the beach. In other
words, you don’t go to the beach to work, but to have fun in the sun. Only now
I will be crafting in the sun. That’s it for now. Tuesday, February 19, 2013

Spoiled Lunch & A Green Evening
Today I was
at lunch and I was showing off some pics of my projects to a co-worker when a
woman butted in on our conversation. I wouldn’t have mind, but her comment was
rude she said to me. So you are one of those weirdo, don’t you have something
better to do with your time. I couldn’t believe her, so I said in return. Yes,
I do for crafting and popped out my crochet hook. My co-worker told me to ignore
her, but what’s wrong with crafting... Are what should I be doing with the little
me time I do get to myself? People, I tell you they have some issues.
Anyway after work I went home and
worked on an eco-friendly skirt for a green party Friday. I was supposed to
make this skirt a month ago, but I was being lazy about it. Now it’s finally
finished and I can’t wait to wear it Friday with the slippers I made to go with
it. Well I’m outta here; I got some studying to do tonight. But remember design
it, make it, love it! Keep it DIY ECO-FRIENDLY!

Crafting Overload
I have been crafting so much I actually feel like I was
playing tennis. My wrists, fingers, neck and back is killing me right now. I’m not
even typing anymore. I’m just pecking as my old computer teacher use to call
it. Only I can’t be happier with myself, I have nearly completed my first adult
size crochet granny square blanket. I’m so excited and inspired by all the wonderful
challenges from HPC. I’m looking forward to seeing which house takes the cup in
HPC. For now I’m going to take it easy and lay off the hooks for a day or too.
Tomorrow I want to try making ATCs, little artist trading
cards. A nice no stress on the hands activity and a new craft to test out. I
have a big stack of old magazines that hopefully I will run through half of
them. I don’t have any themes in mind for the cards yet, so I’m going to let
the pictures speak to me. LOL Well until next time design it, make it, love it!

Happy New Years!
It’s been awhile since I have dropped in on the other side
of the rainbow. My life has been really busy lately and I don’t have much time
to post. I have been crafting none stop
since the 1st and plan on continuing to craft every day this year. Also I’m taking part in a 52 week money saving
challenge. It’s all over the web right now and also on my favorite craft site. The
52week challenge has inspired three projects I’m working on and hopefully I will
find the time this Saturday to finish them.
